Ukiah Fishing Report
The lake has turned over in the last week. Green algae the cause of the methane smell on Lake Mendocino Drive for weeks has gone from the lake. Crappie and blue gill are being hooked by worms on the south end of the lake, near the stairs and the parking lot. Because of the recent rain, striped bass and catfish have gone into the channel at the north end of the lake. They are hitting worms and minnows.

Salmon are no longer in season, but fishing is still good along the coast of Mendocino County. Both rock and ling cod are being fished out of the coastal waters, wherever there is 120 feet of depth near the shoreline. Rock cod are taking shrimp flys, while the larger ling cod are hitting lead heads.
