A trawler tossed by storms in Bangladesh, 20 missing
DHAKA, May 19 (Xinhuanet) — Some 20 passengers were feared drowned as an engine-boat capsized amid storms in the Meghna River in the southern coastal subdistrict of Borhanuddin Thursday evening.
The overloaded passenger trawler sailed from Mirja Kalu of Borhanuddin for Char Zahiruddin in the evening.
About a kilometer away from the terminal, the trawler got caught in a strong wind and turned turtle, the United News of Bangladesh, a private news agency in the country, reported.
Most of the passengers swam to shore but 20, the report said. Enditem
