Offshore: Cod fishing is good on Stellwagen bank . When they limit out on cod they finish the day with haddock.
The haddock fishing is rated as good in deeper water east of the bank. Pollack fishing is rated as good also
in spots ).reports Capt. Tom Dipersia of Big Fish 11. Shad are in the Indian Head and North River in good numbers.
Ponds: Paul Dinolo reports the pond fishing for trout is just starting to warm up for fly fishermen, with the bait fishermen doing OK. As the water warms up the trout should be hitting on midges and wooley buggers. The streams are stocked here you should try sunken patterns such as hornbergs, wooley buggers etc. Striped bass have not showed up yet in any numbers, although I have a report of some small schoolies chasing the herring around in Kingston and Duxbury harbors. They are due in any time now.
