Took a couple of days off last week to head up to our cabin in Altmar to escape the snow in DC for more snow in upstate NY and tangle with some steelheads. Friday was a virtual heat wave with temperature in the 30’s with many hook ups and fish landed. I had a blast watching my 13 year old nephew land many steelies on his brand new fly rod! Saturday started out fairly warm but it was pouring rain so we all had enough by noon and head back in to have a few cold ones next to the wood stove and build a snowman we named Einstein in celebration of Pi Day. As always, we had a blast and can’t wait to get back there again.
