Online campaign seeks fishing ban
An environmental campaigner in Guernsey is calling for better protection for a local sea bass breeding site.
It is believed up to 900 bass are being caught every day in a reef just off the west coast of the island.
Caleb Zunino has launched an online petition to protect the area, which attracts the species from hundreds of miles around.
There is already a ban on trawling for bass off Guernsey’s coast. Mr Zunino wants it to include line fishing too
