Missouri Fishing Reports
■ TABLE ROCK: 43 degrees, clear, 12 feet low Outlook: Indian Point Marina reports: crappies very good to excellent on minnows from Cape Fair to Long Creek; black bass good on slab spoons in 45 to 50 feet of water.
■ LAKE OF THE OZARKS: 41 degrees, clear, low. Outlook: Gier’s Bass Pro reports: black bass excellent on jerkbaits, jigs, tube baits in 10 to 20 feet of water from the Glaize arm to the dam; crappies fair on jigs, minnows in the brush.
■ NORFORK: 46 degrees, clear, 14 feet low. Outlook: Bink’s Guide Service reports: black bass good on plastic grubs, jigging in 45 to 50 feet of water along bluff banks; crappies good on minnows, white grubs in 28 feet of water in the brush; stripers fair to good on Bink’s Spoons in 60 to 70 feet of water.
■ TANEYCOMO: 45 degrees, clear, little power generation. Outlook: Fall Creek Marina reports: trout good on Power Bait below Fall Creek. Two 19-inch brown trout were caught this week off the docks at Fall Creek Marina.
■ STOCKTON: 42 degrees, clear, 8 feet low. Outlook: Mutton Creek Marina reports: black bass good on stickbaits off main-lake points; crappies fair on minnows in the deep brush and the river channel.
■ JAMES A. REED: 31 degrees, clear, ice on the lake but not safe for ice fishing. Outlook: Missouri Department of Conservation reports: trout fair through the ice at the docks on Coot Lake.
■ BULL SHOALS: 42 to 47 degrees, clear, 10 feet low. Outlook: Buck Creek Marina reports: black bass fair to good on stickbaits in 5 to 10 feet of water along bluff ends and off windy points; walleyes fair on slick minnows in 10 to 15 feet of water off points; crappies fair on jigs, minnows in 5 to 20 feet of water in the brush and timber.
■ POMME DE TERRE: 41 degrees, clear, 1 foot low. Outlook: Nemo Landing reports: crappies fair to good on jigs in 30 feet of water; black bass poor to fair (a few are being caught on crankbaits).
■ LONGVIEW: 41 degrees, 40-inch clarity, 1½ feet low. Outlook: Longview Lake Marina reports: crappies fair to good on small jigs off the marina docks; walleyes poor to fair (a few are being caught along the dock).
■ JACOMO: 35 degrees, clear, normal; ice in the coves. Outlook: Jacomo Marina reports: crappies fair to on jigs off the marina docks.
■ SMITHVILLE: 36 degrees, clear, slightly low. Outlook: Burton’s Bait and Tackle reports: crappies fair on jigs off the docks.
■ BLUE SPRINGS: 38 degrees, clear, slightly low. Outlook: Blue Springs Lake Marina reports: crappies, white bass fair on jigs off marina docks.
■ TRUMAN: 38 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Rocky Top Bait and Tackle reports: all species poor. Below the dam: all species poor.
Kansas
■ MILFORD: 38 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Jim’s Corner reports: crappies fair on ruby-red minnows in 8 to 12 feet of water in Cemetery Cove and near the old Military Marina; white bass, wipers good on Shad Slabs in 10 to 15 feet of water in Madison Creek.
■ TUTTLE CREEK: 39 degrees, murky, normal. Outlook: Derrick’s Bait and Tackle reports: crappies fair to good on jigs in the outlet; walleyes fair to good on jigs, soft-plastic baits in Rocky Ford.
■ COFFEY COUNTY: 65 degrees at the hot-water outlet, 46 degrees mid-lake, clear, low. Outlook: Coffey County reports: white bass, black bass, wipers fair.
■ CHENEY: 42 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Fred’s Bait Shop reports: wipers fair to good on cut bait, perch in 4 feet of water off the points; walleyes fair on crankbaits along the dam; white bass fair on Road Runners in 2 to 4 feet of water off points; crappies fair on jigs, minnows in the brush.
■ PERRY: 38 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Lake Perry Yacht Marina reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows in 8 to 15 feet of water in the brush.
■ HILLSDALE: 40 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Rand’s reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows in 25 feet of water in the brush.
■ EL DORADO: 38 degrees, fairly clear, 1¾ feet low. Outlook: Maynard’s Bait Shop reports: all species poor.
