A FISHERMAN has been bitten by a shark while hauling in a catch off the NSW far south coast.
Police said a 25-year-old deckhand received lacerations to his thigh overnight when a 1.5 metre Mako shark, being hauled in with the catch, lashed out.
They said the trawler, owned by Puglisi Fishing Ltd, was off the coast of Bermagui when the incident occurred around midnight (AEST).
