Florida Fishing forecast
Saltwater: A hurricane warning is in effect for southern Brevard County and much of Indian River County. Anglers can expect weather conditions to deteriorate rapidly today and everyone is urged to stay inside. Expect the Intracoastal Waterway to be very rough and dangerous for navigation. After the storm passes, anglers may have to contend with debris, drifting boats and the absence of navigational structures. Dirty water will make visibility poor.
Freshwater: Anglers can expect Hurricane Wilma to create dangerously rough conditions along Central Florida freshwater waterways. Water levels can be expected to rise significantly and debris and damaged structures will likely be a problem for weeks following the storm. Anglers are encouraged to wait a few days at least before venturing out.
