Fishing Notebook : Glendale Lake docks still floating in limbo
Sunday, May 15, 2005 By Deborah Weisberg
Boaters will have to wait longer to use the rental docks at the Beaver Valley and Prince Gallitzin marinas at Glendale Lake in Cambria County because the lake is still too low to secure the docks.
Mooring season was to have begun May 1. Prince Gallitzin State Park manager Barry Wolfe said a couple of days of rainfall is needed to fill the lake, which had been drawn down for repairs months ago, and it will take a week for workers to prepare the docks.

Launch sites to close
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has scheduled access improvements at several waterways in Western Pennsylvania, including Walnut Creek, the Youghiogheny River and Buffalo Creek.
With that in mind, it will close the Walnut Creek marina in Erie tomorrow through Wednesday to repave the marina’s entrance road. At the end of this month, it will begin work on the ramp, dock and handicap walkway at the Point Marion access area off Route 88 on the Youghiogheny River. And it plans to close the Freeport access area on Buffalo Creek in Armstrong County to reconstruct the launch ramp in mid-July
