British FlyFair lifts off – Red letter time for England’s fly fishing community this weekend when the British Fly Fair kicks off at the Trentham Gardens Exhibition Center, near Stoke-on-Trent.
Now in its third year, the fair is Britain’s largest specialist pure fly fishing show, offering two full days of events, with something for fly fishers and fly tyers of all types and abilities, from the absolute beginner to the seasoned expert.
This year visiters will have the opportunity to watch and meet over 60 of the world’s greatest exponents of fly fishing and fly tying techniques. These will include some of the world’s finest fly casters demonstrating their skills, and top fly tyers demonstrating their unique abilities on the International Fly Tyers Row.
Featured here will be the Fly Tyer Theatre, where carefully chosen experts will be demonstrating their specialist fly tying techniques. Everything will clearly visible as it happens on a large plasma screen. Anglers should also check out the Destination Theatre, where fly fishing experts will be giving lectures on diverse topics.
Over eighty trade stands will be showing at the FlyFair, where the emphasis is placed on quality products. Featuring a great variety of fly fishing and fly tying equipment, clothing, books, antique tackle and much more. Many exhibitors will be launching new products at the show, including industry giant Hardy Greys Ltd, who’ll be giving away a new Greys Stream flex 8.6ft #4 fly rod.
