It’s a lake trout (‘togue’ in Maine-speak), about 14-15".
At first I thought it was a salmon because of the silvery flash when I hooked it. It didn’t feel like a salmon, though. It didn’t run much, or jump at all. It just wanted to head for the bottom and stay there.
Later I caught another one about the same size.
The ‘popular’ river wasn’t very popular today. I was alone.
