SOUTHEAST IOWA fishing report
Lake Rathbun (Appanoose): Crappies have been hitting on small jigs and small jigs tipped with a minnow. Walleyes have been biting on night crawlers being trolled along rock piles and drop-offs.

FISHING REPORT
Offshore
Moderate east/southeast wind improved conditions for small-boat traffic in the open gulf. Sea was in the three-foot range at the 60-mile buoy south of Freeport, smaller than predicted. Fishing was good, reported guide Mike Segall. Recent trips produced limits of red snapper to 10, plus limits of king mackerel and occasional ling.
