Whipping north wind hit the upper coast late Sunday, wiping out early-week fishing prospects. Gusts topping 30 miles per hour were recorded along the Galveston seawall.
Galveston Fishing Pier reported fair catches of croaker, sand trout, keeper redfish and sheepshead from green to sandy-green surf prior to the front.
