ATHENS — Lake Athens is nearly two feet low and clear. Water temp is in the upper 80s.

Surf was small and green to sandy-green under light to moderate east/southeast wind. Speckled trout were fair at night under lights from upper coastal piers. Other recent catches included redfish, gafftop catfish, sand trout, panfish and occasional pompano.
